Development
When developing the zine, I was well-aware that DID is a highly stigmatized mental disorder and focused on brainstorming a creative direction that circumvented depicting the disorder in a scary light. Thus, I chose to illustrate the zine using a style that reminded me of children's book illustrations. I used blue and pink as colors, as both are seen as friendly colors and would make the zine more appealing to people who may not know what DID is or only know the stigma surrounding it.
